A tradition that keeps its own memory.

Chazzonus — the art of the cantor — has always traveled by ear. A phrase learned at the amud in one shul reappears, transformed, a generation later and a continent away. Nusach is an archive built to honor that chain of transmission and make it audible again.

Every recording here is tagged: the chazan who sang it, the service it belongs to, the nusach it follows, and the specific piece. Tap the tag for Hamelech and you hear it opened by cantor after cantor; tap a chazan's name and you walk through their whole repertoire; tap a nusach and you trace a community's sound.

Recordings can be hosted on our own storage or embedded from YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, and beyond — so every chazan keeps ownership and branding of their own work while still being part of the collection.

The project is open and community-driven: code lives on GitHub, deployment on Vercel, and audio on Cloudflare storage. It is built to last, and built to grow.
